Today I thought I might review Maybelline's Forever Strong PRO nail polish because the color's nothing like what I usually get and I really liked it, so I felt like I had to share it with you guys.
I was looking for a darker nail polish (since all of the ones I own are either pastel or very light colors) and I ran into this. At first I thought it was a very dark brown, almost black, but when I looked closer I saw it was infact a very dark garnet. I was very curious to see how it would look like on my nails, since all dark colors vary in pigmentation and opacity. I was painting the first coat and I was very pleased with the result, so I just left it like that. After a few days it was still perfectly fine with no chipping at all, so I gave it a second coat to see how it looked. It was totally opaque and uniform (just how it looks in the bottle) and I didn't like the effect that much. Next time I'll befinitely be wearing just one coat.
With just one coat of the nail polish you get this amazing effect that takes the color to a whole new level. Since some parts of the nail always have more polish than other ones, the colors varied from one milimetre to the next. The final result were dark garnet nails with a dark brown and a wine undertone. SO pretty!
I'm really really happy with the result and, even though it's more of a fall or maybe winter color, I'll be wearing it a lot in the near future.
